And whatta ya know I try to connect and get an Incorrect Version error, although the new spells_en.txt works with the server and the zones were sleeping and it says the server is up. Im just a ... tad bit lost her. Wait, what kind of server are you running? because publiclogin isn't working for this version (or any of the recent version) unless i'm mistaken... You should have the eqhosts.txt from the website, sometimes ip's don't work well, just use eqlogin1.eqemu.net etc in there.
if you're running a local minilogin server, you need to have loginserver and eqhosts files use 127.0.0.1 for the ip or localhost... If there's a publiclogin out, then i'm wrong, i didn't think there was though. |
I'm assuming you're using MiniLogin (since your login server points to a specific IP).
MAKE SURE you have the latest version of the MiniLogin. You can find it here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/e...-MiniLogin.zip |
Ahh!
Ok I could have sworn I had the new MiniLogin 3.11, but I made SURE and downloaded it again and ... it WORKED!
Well, I could log in that is... Then I got the infamous 1017 error, i'm on Windows XP, and I have tried EVERYTHING in these forums and EthernalQuest's forums to try and get rid of it... nothin helps :( Im doooooomed. Thx Anyways, Sigma |
