Strange spell timer oddness
Hi folks,
I have spells, that players cast that they only last a split second.. I have a theory it's treating level 100 players like level 1 players, maybe that is correct but how do I go about fixing this? |
Are you talking about cast time, buff duration, or something else? Try and explain better what the problem is.

Disc Time, Buff times, etc , I tested it, made a char 86, and the timers worked fine, back to 100 and they wouldn't it seems my ... leveling table is partially working but not in that regard..

So you can get 100, but your buffs don't last longer than mere seconds? Anything you edited or created that could have made them do that? Possibly the new revision?

Turn on mlog for SPELLS__BUFFS and see what's being logged out by AddBuff and BuffProcess. What client are you using?

Could it be your server spell file doesn't match the client's? That could create a great deal of oddness.

Sorry haven't had time to turn log on what's the command though ? #mlog help will show me I'm sure it's just something missing with our build .. Before we had to make out own leveling table to 100 , is eqemu now capable of going to 100 without problems ? Maybe I can just go stock build if so :) also need to be able to setup certain hell levels too if that possible .

- Recast time - Recovery time - Duration time Off the the top of my head these are the main times related to spells. I suspect that you are talking about the 'duration time'. If that is the case see CalcBuffDuration_formula in spells.cpp for more information. |
