Okay EQ Emulator, I have a question, is it just me or do bots not seem to show their gear? You inspect them and it's there and they get the stats, but they're basically naked aside from weapons and shields, and maybe a piece or 2 of armor, is this client-sided or server-sided?

They show on mine, maybe you should try recompiling the latest revision. Also, if the gear bots had was client side there wouldn't be a table called "botinventory".

The database is fine, I have that table, I play on other servers as well and it does it, I believe it is client-sided. But I'm not 100% sure what is wrong with my client.

So you just looked in a table labeled "botinventory" and saw it list all the gear that bots have and still think that it's client side?

Sorry, I think you're misunderstanding, the bots look naked, but they get stats and such from the gear and act as though they have it.

What he is trying to say is the items and stuff are equipped in the bot. But the physical apperance of the armor on the bot itself is not showing up. (the plate helm, boots ect..)

I ran into this last night when viewing an RoF client's bots through an SoD (or maybe UF) client. (They were fine on the RoF client.)

I didn't get a chance to look into this before I went to bed.

Z, was this occurring between client versions and/or with certain bot races?

I've always noticed (regardless of server I've tried) that I can see my bots equipment, but everyone else's bots look naked except for weapons.

The cause of this was affecting all bots, regardless of client or race.

I'll post the fix as soon as I can.

Sorry for the late response, but yes, it was all bots except mine.

Fix is committed now.

There was an issue with the model texture display parameter.


The issue was causing any existing bots not to display properly on a new client when it logged or zoned in.

New bot spawns didn't appear affected because of the sendwearchange that was being sent upon spawning.
There was, however, a brief instance when they spawned and were unclad.
