Thats all well and good, but...

Well, things seem to go just peachy right up until the point in MySQL, where we are supposed to right click to add (create) the EQ database, and there are no such options. The ONLY options I get from the right click pop up menu are the ones to flush.
I've downloaded a few different versions of MySQL and they are all doing (or not doing, rather) the same thing.
I'm using XP with MySQLAdmin ver 1.4 downloaded today (the 30th)

Any thoughts?

Also, when I am able to log onto the regular public servers, I either A: get booted after a certain amount of time in the character creation section (about long enough to allocate the points) or B: I got past that, and it freezes on me when I submit my character name to the name server. The latter isn't happening any more because I can't even get that far any more, and these problems happen on no matter what public server I try to log onto.

Help!!

This topic has been answered quite recently.

Please use search in the future.

However, here is the answer to your question (snagged from a previous post):

Run mysql.exe

Type:
create database eq; [Press Enter]

As for your connection problem, Make sure you're using the latest patched version of EverQuest. Also verify that you are NOT running any firewalls\proxies as these can interfere with the connection to the server.
