Rain of Fear 2

No promises on completion or timeline, but...

If you missed out on the Steam download of the 12-10-2012 build client, you may want to
pick up the 5-10-2013 build client before they decide to update their distro again..just in case!

Downloading from steam again now. Will be cool when you complete this :)

Have a good one!

Should we grab the newest expansion as well? Call of the Forsaken show a release date of today (10/8 ).

That won't be included unless they update the Steam download, which will break the client compatibility that Uleat is working on now. You don't need to purchase anything from Steam as all downloads are the same files/versions. The only way to get the most recent Live clients is to patch to Live, but again, that will break your compatibility with EQEmu as Live patches happen to often and are not supported.

There is a good chance that Steam will update again soon for the new expansion, but we will have to wait and see. Once/if that happens, we would need to do the work to make EQEmu compatible with that client download version as well.

Then all we really need to download is the free to play client? The RoF purchase is not necessary? Just want to make sure I am getting the right thing.

Yes, the F2P is what you want.

There's nothing keeping you from purchasing and playing on live as well..just remember to keep a backup copy aside to avoid
what Trevius mentioned above.

Thanks for the clarification Trev and Uleat.
