Probably a dumb question but...
My fundamental question is, can I create my own Everquest server for myself and macroquest 6 box it? I would love to play through the old content "single player" style.
I have downloaded the titanium edition, do I download these "SVN" files then somehow point my local EQ client to it? How do I get the local server running? Sorry if I somehow missed it, I didn't see it in the FAQ. |
I don't do support for how to get a server running anymore, However I'll answer some of what you asked.
Yes you can create your own server, and MQ 6 box or MQ 100 box if you wanted. As for how, most recent guide I see is http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...rverSetupGuide Try and follow that (assuming your on windows) |
Also read through the last 4 or 5 pages of the windows guide posted on the forum.
The guides posted have changed slightly. A few minutes of reading and taking notes before you start will save you trouble. |
Thanks for your help.

Its a bit outdated, but its still good if you dont know how to get a server going, and if you only want to look / play around the old world stuff, it also gives an idea on how to get server running

Got it running using the guide linked and some changes due to the PEQ files locations and which order to source the sql files into peq.
So I've logged into my server and I'm playing around, gave myself GM perms and trying to figure out what they are and how to use them, also figuring out what bots are  The only thing so far is I can create 3 logins max, thus can only ever 3 box? I'm playing around trying to create my own login server though. Thanks for the help. |
Try #help from in game for list of gm commands. You can alter the max logins in the rule_values table of the database.
