getting kicked at name authorization
 

i go in and make a character when i get to the last screen and it says authorizing name or whatever that is it kicked me to server select.

I'm having the same issue. After I try to create a character, it goes back to the character screen but then crashes back to the server select. I have the EQ fix installed and the most current database installed as well. I am running the latest release too.

Any hints/tips/suggestions/you'rescrewed?

if you're connecting to a 3.12 version server, dont use the fix. Just patch everquest to its latest live version and edit your eqhost.txt file

If you arent using .12 get it. Then patch fully and enjoy!

whats this .12 people are talking about. i changed my EQhost and logged on is there something i need to download?

3.12 is the emulator version.

You dont need it if youre just playing on other folks server, just if you're hosting your own.
