Probably over looking, help please.
 

Hi when logging in I click on the server I want and screen goes black. Ive read these forums and googled to try everything ive seen and still nothing. Fresh install atm, with eqhost changed. Tried running in every compatibility mode.. Im using windows 7 ive been trying to get this to work for a good week now so figured id finally post and try to get some help.

Ive played emu for years and never had this issue. All my drivers/directX are up to date. Resolution is set to 1280x1024

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks a lot.

p.s. im using the F2P client download. its Installed on my desktop.

The emulator is only compatible with a limited and very specific set of clients. It isn't clear which one you mean when you say F2P.

It sounds like he has downloaded the newest EverQuest client, or at least a newer version than supported, meaning he won't be able to play.

That's what it sounds like to me as well, hence the request for clarification.

steve1 did you compile your own server code? i understand enough to rewrite the server code to allow all clients the rest would be on your end to get it working. Tda! :)
