Current state of bots
I have not been into the bot scene much in the last year but my other server, Dragons of Mist really needs an update. The current Bot code there works very well but if it could be updated, that would make it easier to maintain both servers. Months ago I read threads that the Bot code was flaky, what is the current state?

You need to make changes to bot.cpp or your bots will either have negative hit points and will not melee, or sometimes insanely high hit points instead.

Might just be better to stay with what we have, which seems almost perfect. I will keep an eye out on the Bot scene though. Eventually all of those issues will get ironed out.

Ive fixed a lot of the bot code, including the crashes. I also fixed some of the spell lists up a bit. Are you upgrading to RoF2? Thats the code Im on, so not sure it will be compatible otherwise.
edit: Also changed how AC is calculated as well as stats and HP. The bots were getting destroyed otherwise, you may not want those changes if youre on classic. |
One of my servers is on the RoF2 enabled code. My other server, Dragons of Mist is not. I am not really concerned about the RoF2 functionality until the Guild Bank and Bazaar features are in.
