so theres been few new servers iv seen pop up wanting to try em but when i click connect screen stays blank for about 2 mins then kicks me to login ? have fresh install ect. and tried diff clients does it on all of em

Probably a server specific issue or you have the wrong client for the server.

It's possible they don't have FW rules open. I do that with my test server here at home. Don't need FW rules for me to access it, but nobody else can get to it. This is not uncommon.

I know of at least 2 things that cause that for me:

if they aren't set up for your client, that can happen.

also, if i leave peerguardian up, the level 1 block list is a problem for connecting to a few servers. (a mostly useless list, but i like pg for its simple functionality without making firewall rules.)
