Server help
 

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to log into my own server as a gm :D:D:D im such a newb at this and every time i log in i can do NOTHING its been 3 days several videos and posts read and i can figure out nothing. PLEASE HELP lol

Open command window... Start>cmd
Type: CD c:eq/eqemuserver
Or open your eqemuserver directory (not sure what your folder I named eq is)
Then type: world flag emuaccount 255

Change emuaccount to your login account ... Whatever you log onto to see the servers.

where am i typing world flag etc.. am i creating a new folder in that folder?

"cd" changes directory... he was telling you to open a command prompt and navigate to the server's directory. he missed a slash "c:\" then rest of path.

or

load up heidisql. i believe that comes with server install? if not install, it's free. go to the dB, which is named "peq" by default, and find the Acccounts [sic].

i don't have it in front of my eyes, so similar to "Accounts" - it's in the top 1/3rd of the many tables listed. there's 2-3.. an obvious field name will stand out for status etc.

simply type 250 or whatever into status field for your account -- again if not "status" it will be the only field that will make sense.

make sure to 'post' any edits, if it asks. don't try to add accounts or anything here. in general don't do this sort of thing :p

ok so this is what i get... with Heidi it is telling me the root and password that came with the DL doesnt exist... and when i run cmd -

C:\eq\Summa Vindicta

in my file explorer, I have Windows C: > eq > Summa Vindicta > everything that came with the Akkadius down load

Lieff - You're looking at some basic windows functions, that you might want to learn about.(This used to be called basic MS DOS)
When you open up a cmd prompt window, type the following EXACTLY as it shows in bold.

cd \eq\summa vindicta NOTICE THE "cd" ? (put a space after the cd)

I think it adds a folder EQEmuServer. Which is the final folder directory you'd want to be in. The folder where the start.bat, eqemu_config.xml, quest folder, map folders etc. Are located.

If you don't know, right click the t_start.bat file you use to start your server go to properties and check the destination.. that's the directory you go to

CD c:\eq\summa vindicta\eqemuserver
<Enter>
World flag dorektu 255
<Enter>
Assuming dorektu is your emu account (not your character)

If you put it in 100s of folders you have to navigate to it...
CD c:\eq\summa vindicta\folder1\folder2\folder#\eqemuserver

But really only you know all the folders it is in.

gotcha trying now yea Dorektu was a toon a friend played on live he has since retired so.. all my accounts are named after my friends on live ha
