Cannot join my own server

I know this sounds stupid but i cant make a public eqemu server i try to login and it says i have to rerun patch thingie. i did everything the readme says. any clues? i just dont get it =(. But this is funny.... when i make a network server it runs fine, although any account i log into has all my characters.

If you are going to play by yourself, use minilogin to fix it. Also make sure you have fully patched your EQ folder and you are running the latest version of the EQEmu (4.0)

I want to play on MY Server and i want people to join MY server, i never tried to be a public GM i wanted to try.
