Socket Programming with CPP
 

Yea, I have a couple questions that I just cannot find answers to. First, how easy is socket programming in cpp for windows, and where can I find the best guide? Next, I would like to know if cpp can open a port and keep it open untill told to close.

I looked on google for a good hour or two today, and just could not find a thing. I figured that if you guys are dealing with this everyday (the whole internet connectivity with cpp thing), then you would know best and could hopefully give me a point in the right direction.

You should start to learn winsock, you can find a tutorial on it here:
