Cant connect to patch server .. missing file... PLS HELP

i installed the patcher in the EQ directory . and when i run patch.exe i cant connect to the patch server.

in the patcher.txt i get this error:

GetFile Filename: patch.dat
Error:

looks like a file patch.dat is missing .. any ideas how to fix this please ???
