Run-time error '-2147287038 (80030002)':
 

More precisely:

I am encountering this error when trying to patch back from a fresh install while using eqemu's Patcher program.

I am currenly running on Windows 98SE. I have updated the Mdac as was specified.

Other than that the only information I can supply is as follows:

I have searched the boards for others recieving this problem recently and have seen no working solutions.

Are there any suggestions that I might be able to try?

WinXP here patcher installed without a problem, patcher.dat is missing and patching is not working :(

It seems you may not have installed the patcher into the everquest directory, is everquest installed in c:\everquest or c:\program files\everquest? You say the patcher is in C:\everquest, but the file it's looking for is in c:\program files\everquest

The EqEmu patcher MUST be installed into the same directory as everquest.

It is in c:\program files\everquest

I was making a bit of a typo there.

Same thing happening here as well, was running fine, I changed nothing went and took a nap, came back to play and now get this error message.

Was working before, and was playing on forever hacking.

Logged off, did some RL stuff, then came back on to mess around before work, and no longer worked. This was about 10 or so hours ago.

Also note, it is in the correct path, as it was before. I uninstalled, downloaded, and reinstalled. Still doesn't work.

I have the same damn problem.... I went to sleep woke up did a few things and Started Eqemu Patcher same error as everyone else... It was workin yesterday perfectly... hmm. Someone Post some info or help we are struggling here ! =P

gettin the same thing here. its in the right directory and everything.

Getting same error here also tried to update windows xp and puting file in the right area C://program files/everquest still all the same getting that darn error

If u already have patched it once then why dont you just start eqgame.exe

Went into patcher.txt and saw this, maybe this will give somone a foothold into finding out whats wrong.

I got in the game eailer, and got this....

Anyone know what might be causing this? A patcher problem?

Common this is obvious....the site is down....giving an HTTP 7500 error, request timed out

I still have the 7500 error today at 2:28pm CST..so not sure if it's a server outage or what.
