PvP servers?
 

howdy im new to eqemu. i was wondering are there any pvp servers or plans to start one up?

Guildwars...opening back up soon.

Its guildwarfare, your guilds can take over cities and control them, you fight other guilds for domination of the world. Classic EQ only, no expansions.

sounds cool, but does that mean i have to go back to the old pre luclin textures

I Don't think you will have to use the old textures. From What I know and have heard. Im guessing they just play in the old everquest area. The Owner of the server would know better then i do. But i'll tell you this. It Sounds like a deal to me. I can't wait to bash some heads. :D

Don't worry about "going back to the pre luclin textures" you can have any/all expansions installed. When you connnected to the server it makes you use the old ones. You can have the new textures installed but they won't display. This doesn't effect the textures for any of the other servers, its only when you play on this one.

Think he's more worried about having to play with the old textures. It's kinda silly that verant designed the game that way, but if the server disables the expansion, everything for that expansion is disabled. At least the UI is still there. But it's kinda nostolgic (sp). Hope to see more of you there (and less hackers!).

oh yeah.. totally.. the only 1 thing I really love from the expansions is the new UI.. (which didn;t really come *from* the expansions, but just a major patch from Verant)


all the rest tho.. like Ikkys, and Vah Shir, and ect,.. I can prolly do w/o :P (no offense to our scaled and furry friends tho ofcourse)
