EQEmu log error
 

I followed the install step by step and had no errors. All 3 bat/exe's load in the background just fine. I've tried loading EQ with eqw and with "patchme" method and still no luck.

Loading with EQW comes up with a "Send error report to microsoft" message. The "patchme" method keeps overwriting my eqhosts.txt file and logging onto normal eq. I've used the Patcher and it did its thing but still the same results.

No matter how many times I change my eqhosts.txt file to run a local server for just me, it keeps overwriting it when I load eq. Once again, I've followed the faq/install file to the letter and changed the appropriate files to reflect MY localhost:5999.

Any ideas?

The patchme method should work without overwriting your eqhost.txt:
1) Find your eqgame.exe (NOT everquest.exe)
2) Make a shortcut to it on your desktop and right click and go to properties
3) Where it says Target: C:\yourEQdir\eqgame.exe
Change it to look like: C:\yourEQdir\eqgame.exe patchme
4) Run the new shortcut and you should be fine

Yes, I did that but now whey I just try to run eqgame.exe patchme I get the error of:

Fatal Error:
ERROR: Couldn't load eqmain.dll

My video and is the same as the video in eq.

You probably did not make a shortcut, but rather copied the eqgame.exe file directly to your desktop.
