Everquest Crash to desktop
 

I logged into an eqemu server successfully and picked out a race from the original EQ (since I don't have any of the expansion packs installed)

I clicked enter world, the loading screen pops up but then EQ crashes to the desktop. It just sorta terminates itself. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

nevermind. I got it to load up. Though when I tried the erudite and some of the other races that should be in the original it said that their starting city zones could not be found. It has also been crashing to desktop sometimes when I go to different zones, like I dont have them or something...

I keep having this problem also...No matter what server I try to logon to...It was working fine last night, then all of the sudden it just keeps crashing. I have also Froze at the Char. Pick screen...Any Ideas?

try to download DX8.2b and see if it fixes it if not reinstall EQ and something if you have thing set in the EQ setting it could also be messing everthing up

where is DX8.2b? and i already reinstalled EQ

i have this problem when zoing sometimes. I just log back and and try again hoping it doesn't happen again.
