Zones not loading
 

This seems to be an error in world.exe, but I don't really know. All my .ini's and such seem to be working at the beginning, but when I get to the character select screen and try to enter world, it just says the zone is unavailable. I think it has to do with this;

I don't know that that error is, but I think it might be because of db. If anyone could please help me, it would be greatly apprciated. And if you think you need more info about this, tell me your e-mail.

Well, that doesn't seem to be related, because it's not just for some zones, but any zone I try to log in at it just says the zone is unavailable. I tried the two files anyway, and that didn't work either. Thx for trying though, anyone else?

After playing with it for awhile, it still doesn't work, but I noticed that if I close eqw after it says it failed to boot up the zone, some of the zones start booting up the zone *afterwards*. Hope that helps some of you troubleshooters.

Same exact problem here too. Sourcing in those spawn locations from the suggested thread didn't work for me either.

The opcode messages come when entering the character select screen.

The unknown compression message comes the second I hit Enter World.

Update.

I made one change, and now it works. I still get the same opcode error messages, and still get the compression error.... but I get in now and am up and running. The errors don't stop the server from working now, I don't get kicked back to server select.

The only change I made was that I changed the 127.0.0.1 in Boot5zones.bat to my local LAN IP for that machine.

I have my server running over 2 machines, and am running the Everquest game client on a 3rd machine.

192.168.100.1 -- Linux machine running MySQL
192.168.100.2 -- Win2000 machine running minilogin, world, and zones.
192.168.100.3 -- Win2000 machine running Everquest game client.

Maybe I should let 192.168.100.4 and 192.168.100.5 do some of the work now too :)

Damn I wish I had more than a cable modem.

Basically, I don't think those errors had anything to do with why I was getting dumped back to server select. Zone.exe just wasn't set up correctly. The errors are completely unrelated.
