Is it safe to patch live?

Is it? Emu is down and I want to see something in live...

Well, no, you shouldn't patch live unless you don't want to play eqemu for a while. If you really want to play live, backup your eq-directory and put it back when coming back to the emu.

just use eqemu patcher. It takes about 7 minutes to de-update back to eqemu standars as with the current live patcher. and it saves your HD space.

Whats wrong with patching live? I do it all the time, should I stop?

How do you get the patcher to work? I keep getting the patchsrv.dat file not found error. I've made sure that the patcher is installed in the eq directory and did a complete file check twice before I run eqemu patcher.

Thanks
