can't play without patcher and patcher doesn't play just sto
 

If I run the patcher and can click on the checkbox that says play game or whatever it says before it finishes checking to see if I need anythign patched I can play fine but there is no play now button so I can't play if I'm not really fast at clicking this checkbox. I can't seem to get it to go through unless I use the patcher to play it... I get a 1017 error anyone have any ideas?

as embarasing as what I did was I thought this might help someone starting out...

Unfortunetly the eqemu patcher install file does not by default install to your default everquest directory which is usually c:\Program Files\Everquest\ it installs to something like C:\ProgramFiles\eqemu\ if you install it there nothing works and you will get a bunch of error messages saying blah not found and blah not found.... you will also get a message at the end saying all files scanned okay or something to that effect.

If you see these symptoms uninstall eqemu patcher and reinstall in the correct Everquest directory.

The patcher tells you during the installation to install it into your everquest directory. That is why there is a "browse" button to tell it where to install. No one knows where your EQ is installed, mine is at C:\EverQuest.
