cant open mysql.bin....and nice to meet you all!
 

Hi guys,

Im pretty new to this as Im sure you can tell 8)

Im trying to do this :

Go to your MySQL bin directory ( C:\mysql\bin ) and open " mysql.exe "

My computer beeps once, the window opens and then immediately closes and I am unable to do the modifications needed.

Any help would be great! Thanks

Try opening a dos window first and then run mysql form the command prompt. This way you can see the error you are getting when launching the app. Once you have this info post back.
