The bottom line
Ok i know people have been telling you bogus stuff about how you can't login without the patcher and all, but there is a solution.
You MUST have the files from the time you patched in the first place, otherwise you're screwed. Make sure everquest is in C:\Everquest or C:\Eqemu. Now with this done, go to 'Start' and then to 'Run'. In the box type (with quotations) Code:
"C:\Everqu~1\eqgame.exe" patchme Code:
"C:\eqemu\eqgame.exe" patchme |
:?: :?:
What are you trying to say man? The patchme command is not a patch method... It's just launch eq without the eqlive normal patch system. |

That's not what I'm trying to say. People are saying (in back topics) that there is no way you can play without the patcher. The method described above is simply an alternative boot method. I only posted this to clear things up, because you can play without the patcher, as long as you kept the latest patched files, and didn't patch over them.

Seems as if there's more than enough confusion - I just compiled latest CVS, and when I try to run locally with eqlive files I get the old 1002 (wrong version) - I have lots of older backup files, just don't know which combination to use - Anyone have a clue?

Never mind - I fixed it!

Working Combo
I have a working combo, but I'd rather not discuss it on this board, for obvious reasons. (BANNED, anyone?) But if you'd like to ask me anything about it send me an e-mail at jwhite8@runbox.com, just dont ask me about it here.
