Why i cannot connect to 4.4 servers?

I have a problem,i installed my everquest full,expansions and more,when i gonna paste eqhost and play eq comes the problem,when i tip the usser and pass the game says me : you cant connect try again,but if i try to connect with 5.0 eqhost i can enter,why is this??? i cannot play with 4.4?

If your EQ client is patched up-to-date you can only connect to 5.0 servers. To connect to 4.4 servers you need an EQ client patched to around December '02.

Not from anyone on this board. It is illegal to get the EQ client other than from Sony and of course you can only get the latest patch from them.

Is there any way to roll back patches? like would a system restore do that?
