Unbearable Site Performance
 

I've pretty much stopped posting help and reading PM's as a result of performance on this site. You get what you pay for?

Anyone have any ideas on how we could host these forums to get better performance? We have no $ income, so it's gotta be cheap and it's gotta run PHP!

Is the webserver configured using a PHP caching engine like Turcks or APC ?

Merth, I don't have any problems with this site. It may just be your computer or ISP.

I can't say I have noticed this site to be particularly slow. At the moment it takes about 1 second after I click on a thread for it to be displayed.

The site has been running as fast as microsoft.com for me, i dunno what ur talking about

This site sometimes runs good, and other times bad. I cant say which it does more often.

I have a domain, and would be willing to host the forums if that is okay. my domain is www.sponi.net. I have 10gigs of bandwidth a month and unlimited subdomains and mysql databases. I only have 200 megs of space though, so let me know if you need anything.

I was having problesm with the site too it wasnt loading at all and I have bellsouth as an ISP

But now the site MUCH BETTER!!!
still get a few dead links but when i refresh it it loads

Yeah I have bellsouth DSL, and the site times out all the dam time. :?

What i have recently been told is that these wonderfull worms that have been going arround have been hammering alot of isp's networks like crazy slowing down everyones internet

I only have issue with this site, the rest of the net runs fine for me.
