Any role playing servers?

I did some searching and can't really find any information. Are there any servers that are specifically for role playing?

I should also state that my server does not appear on the server list. I am not sure if this should happen when I launch it or not. I would still like to connect over my LAN.

I have successfully compiled a started my server. However, I have no idea how to actually connect to it using the EverQuest client. Where do I set the IP for the server?

Thanks!
