probleme with directx

i got probleme playing eq with directx8 i was always missing 3D device. i have the last drivers for my 3DFx installed and i read all the post on this server and everquest.com that talks about this...

i thinks it's not a probleme with the emulator but with everquest when i load it by eqemu or normaly i got an error message 3D device not found...
i got a 3Dfx correctly install so i dont understand...

i installed mysql on my computeur as the read me...

i installed mysql on my computeur as the read me files told me to but now i think i have a probleme with world.exe cause when i run it it never find eq data.
it always give me few message of error...

i was playing eq a long time ago and i only reinstall the first cd of it (i dont have the rune of kurnark and the all the patch after it)
i did all the things...
