sounds like the FTP server you selected doesnt like how cpan uses port to forward through your routing configuration. try other servers. i just compiled for perl support and had a similiar problem...

had some issues with the computer i was running...

had some issues with the computer i was running the server on. but i've since got a few parts and have a much better machine running the server. come test the revised server.
