I do have a firewall active but even when I disable it I have the same problems. I even uninstalled eq and reinstalled it but still no luck.

Everytime I try to login to play eqemu it sits there saying establishing connection and then it either does nothing or comes up with error 1001. All my files are set up the same as in the Howto: Play...
