everything works..except no npc's? help appreciated

Ok i used the ALTER TABLE `npc_types` ADD `AC`...

Ok i used the
ALTER TABLE `npc_types` ADD `AC` smallint(5) not null default 0;

however i then get this message back....
ERROR 1060: Dduplicate column name `AC`

so any suggestions what step...

i setup today using 0.60-Dr1 precompiled.
followed everything as stated on the guides.
Everything runs fine..doors ,zones..etc.
No errors except the failed to load npc. bad query.
ive checked for...

Ok, I have everything going ok..create char..etc..see my server..on either lan or same machine, also on eqemulator log in...problem is....
once I go to enter the world...the world server shows...
