Account passwords can be anything

I still have a problem - im using minilogin, and any id can have any password and still get to the server login screen. So what could I have missed or done wrong please?

Warnings - what do i need to do to get rid of these please?

I am still trying to get my client to connect to myserver. I can logon ok(ish) [I can use ANY password !!!].

I always get 1017 when connecting though and i see NOTHING change in each of my zone...

(Going insane) STILL cannot connect to zones

I can login to my minilogin fine. I see the conncetions appear.

However i see NOTHING happening on zone screens and I get 1017 on my client.

I have also noticed it doesnt matter what password...

Hmm ok thanks. Well I upgraded to DR2 and now i get an error on zone loading with the NPC Factions list loading,e xcept there is no error message, so i cant tell what is going wrong.

Zone.exe stuck at Loading NPC Faction Lists

Looking at all 5 of my Zone.exe screens, they are all stuck at Loading NPC Faction Lists.

I have upgraded to 0.6.0-DR2. My database was setup from the barebones.

Any help gratefully...

Its not an error , but in all the readme's it is...

I am using my EQ database.
I have typed the command
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO xxxx@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'password' WITH GRANT OPTION;

However I ALWAYS get 0 rows affected.

DOH, THOUGHT I HAD SORTED IT!!!

OK - the problem was sort of solved by seeing somewhere else that someone had modified their 5zonebat thingy.

basically all i did was to add START MINILOGIN before the 5 zone calls and the WORLD...

Good old 1017

Well I got that working.
Reinstalled it all.

However now all i can get is 1017
I am running on a standalone PC. No firewall etc...

Login is fine

Select the server then up pops the message.

Yay it all trys to start up

but for each of the 5 zone's I am running I am getting an error, or rather LOTS of errors.

I t is failing to connect to the database with my user ie Zace@localserver...
