Hello,

Ok I am switching to ubuntu and will try it with that.
See if that works. most likely needs gcc3.
I am finding that gcc 4 = FAIL.
Makes compiling difficult to say least.

Suse 10.3
gcc version 4.2.1 (SUSE Linux)
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.51a, for pc-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 5.2
I followed the directions up until here:
make
gcc -Wall -Wuninitialized...
