Fraps only records an active DirectX rendered screen - which isn't your active desktop. If you want to record a game, that's fine, and it'll do it's job. Also, you can't even record windowed screens....

The only way to get rid of them was to /pet get lost, turn invisible, hide or zone.

Just use the TBC guide, it works fine.

You'd set it up the same way, but just omit the tbc=1 (set it to 0) in your realmd account table. Then you can just play classic WoW with no expansions. ;-)
