I recently set up a server again after many years. Anyhow I also had this problem. Just get the characters to level 2 and spell casting will work.

Not really sure what the issue is, but at level 2...

Rev 2093 ZONE.EXE crash?

I just updated to Perl 5.14.2 (since Rev 2092 requires it) and compiled Rev 2093 with no problems. Also updated the PEQ database (2092) with all SQLs.

More proof Navicat is much inferior and broken :D

- ActivePerl 5.10.0.1004
- MySQL 5.149
- Windows XP 32 bit

The Perl version should not matter as long as it is at least 5.10+

On a whim I decided to install and check out MySQL 5.1.49 on my Windows XP 32 bit system. I was using 5.0.83

All is still working fine using 5.1.49 with minilogin, server, database, compiling, etc.

It's working fine for me with the last version I compiled (rev 1449) and the latest PEQ database (peqdb_rev1410).

Sounds like you need to update your code to a newer revision.
