1) it would work not with perl 5.10 so i had to find 5.8, error kept coming...

I think there is an error message from the installer but unfortunately it doesn't pause at that point and i can't read quicly enough to see it. I'm reinstalling MySQL and changing the root password...

I'm using win xp. When i ran the installer, it put 2 shortcuts on my desktop, one to C:\EQEmu\start.bat, another to C:\minilogin_EverQuest_eqemu\starteq.bat
and i ran these in that order.

and didn't seem to get any errors.
