This could be any number of problems, but Windows XP 64 is simply a nightmare for gaming. Everquest is very picky about the system its played on and it actually runs much better on a single core...

Just curious, but why are you trying to open up...

Just curious, but why are you trying to open up all the zones? you can set it up for say 100 consecutive random zones and as people move between them the zones will open and close to free up...

For pvp with non instanced dungeons you're best bet is probably Lineage 2... I don't like it myself, but I think it has the type of pvp you might like.

You would have to check with the server admin, or see if theres info on their website... It could be that they have restricted access and are running some custom zones.

The server doesn't really use a lot of resources unless you start getting dozens of people playing and using several zones. I used to run it on my laptop and loved it! it was like my own private...

There's definitely a lot of people not familiar with the new SVN link and how to use it. I don't have the time I wish I had to keep on top of everything, and I tend to rely on the download section...
