The only reference I'm seeing to "untie" anywhere in the server code is in perlemb, and that particular message isn't included, so yeah, I'm going with it being a Perl message.

As some sort of spam control, the boards won't let you submit a post with a length less than 10 characters, so if someone needs to make a tiny response post and they get the error message about it...

Looks like a crash in the embedded Perl parser when reloading quests. You sure your Perl version is compatible? Updating to the latest Perl when you update your server code isn't recommended.
