Windows 2000 will create a new boot.ini whether you have a dual boot system or not simply because ntldr requires it. If one already exists, it will append it to properly boot W2K. It *should* pick up 98 and add it automatically. If not, that is simply a matter of adding a line. Of course the system partition will need to be FAT or FAT32 for the sake of 98. The W2K boot partition can be NTFS if you want it to be. I DO HIGHLY recommend that, and use a tool like Paragon Mount Everything to mount the NTFS partition under 98.
