You probably don't have the correct version of the EQ client.
Check here: http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17987
for a tool you can download that gives you the version of EQ you're using. It needs to match the entry for the 0.6.0 client (SEQ12107) or you're not using a compatible version.
