The collector cannot be detected unless sony invades your privacy and searched your computers memory... which they wont do. and even if they wanted to, the chances that they would even be looking for this collector is slim to none.
if your really worried about it, you can set it up in a passive sniffer mode with a hub and another machine, which would be 100% undetectable.
