Check out some servers like Fates Destiny or Scorpious 2k. On their website, they have programs that will download the new maps and stuff.
It will also give you a EQEmu compatible build.
Also,
I have been having several server problems, but I ended up getting EQEmu 6.0 DR-1 as DR-2 would not work.
If playing make sure you are setup properly and that your SQL is not fucked up.
