I had that problem with Soulbinder Jera.(I made her a high level)
When I first changed from 6.2 to 6.3. Then one day I put a few npcs around her and her pet didnt flame anymore. I took them away and her pet never flamed again!!
I just checked in paw and seen a normal air type pet so maybe it fixed itself??? I have no Idea but Id just like to let you know you are not alone!!
