This variable tells the client which expansions he / she owns, and which features to unlock. I don't know all of the client features available, but they do seem to be linear (i.e. you can't have GoD and not have LDoN, with our current setup, maybe some of the values 10+ represent nonlinear combinations of expansions).

If you set the expansion variable to 0, players will not have access to the Guild Manager Tool (from LoY), will only have 8 bank slots, will not have access to maps (other than cities and newbie zones), will not have Luclin models enabled, and probably other features that I haven't noticed.
  • 0 = Old World
  • 1 = Kunark (Additional Client Features?)
  • 2 = Scars of Velious (Additional Client Features?)
  • 3 = Shadows of Luclin (New Player Models)
  • 4 = Planes of Power (Additional Client Features?)
  • 5 = Legacy of Ykesha (Guild Manager - ALT+G, Expanded Bankslots?, Maps)
  • 6 = Lost Dungeons of Norrath (Additional Client Features?)
  • 7 = Gates of Discord (Additional Client Features?)
  • 8 = Dragons of Norrath (Additional Client Features?)
  • 9 = Omens of War (Additional Client Features?)
  • 10 = Depths of Darkhollow (Additional Client Features?)

There are some client features that seem to be exempt from these values, such as:
Shared Bank (Released with LDoN, I believe, but is still available with this variable set to 0).
Maps in Cities and Newbie Zones (Setting the variable to anything less than 5 does disable maps in most zones, but I haven't found a value that disables it in Cities and Newbie zones).

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has played with this at all, and noticed any additional features / behavior tied to it.

Thanks,
Dax
