as far as I know this spell (at least on live) uses CHA check for failures (note cha of TARGET, not of caster, but in your case its the same thing).
with CHA high enough it should almost always work - 90%+
Which means if your CHA is good and spell is working as onn live- you need to do around 100 tries to see it fail =)
