Check your router settings for port forwarding. Make sure you are forwarding the Zone ports, usually 7000-7100 , port 9000 for world and 9080 if you use the built in web admin, 3306 for any outside sql connections, 5998 for the server connection. You may not necessarily need all of these, but it can't hurt.
