I just tried out shurikens and throwing axes on PEQ and they worked fine. Drew aggro, and did proper damage. You're putting them in ranged slot, and not ammo right?
Throwingv2 is for Berserkers only, and has better accuracy and damage than Throwing. Since that's a big part of Zerker damage, it makes sense Sony made it their own skill, so that they can have bonuses effect it and only it, and not throwing since many classes get that.
Edit: Just tried out some Berserker disciplines, they worked fine.
