Sounds like the email is being blocked by their email provider. I think Yahoo may still be blocking emails from here and maybe a couple other email providers are as well. Make sure they don't have high spam blocking turned on and if you can, add this domain to the safe list in their email settings. Then, you should be able to try using the password reset feature that emails the account you registered with.
Since it is a new account, you could always have them just create a Gmail account or something and then register for a new account with that new email address. Gmail always works. I think it is hard to justify bothering an admin to have them fix something that you could easily resolve yourself. It would also definitely get fixed quicker if you fixed it yourself.
