Wine Version Warning!
If you run EverQuest under Wine DO NOT update to ver. 1.1.34 stay on ver. 1.1.33 or lower. After updating to 1.1.34 my SoF client crashes when loading into character select. It actually crashes on the loading screen when the progress bar gets only about a 10th of the way into loading. Then a Wine crash error pops up.
Reverting back to 1.1.33 solves the problem.
Note: I have duplicated this on 3 different PC's all Gentoo one is amd64 the others are x86.
