Normally, when that happens, it either means you patched your client (even a little by mistake), or are running the wrong version of the client (only fresh install of Titanium or SoF from the retail disks works), or you have a multi-core CPU issue. The FAQ in my sig has some more details on the multi-core CPU issues and other common problems.
