I had the same problem till I figured it out...if you go to the first Stats tab for the item, look on the right, near the bottom for the option that says "Stackable" it's probably on "0 - unknown" by default. Just change that to "3 - unknown" and commit, then when you summon the item you should see the effect listed. That's what worked for me. Good luck.
